A printing press is a manufacturing unit which involves various process from placing a print order to delivery of the final product. When you place an order for printing it first goes to the Design Department for designing the job, in case of already designed job it goes directly to Prepress Department for making positives (films). These positives are exposed to a metal plate and these plates are loaded to the offset machine, paper is cut to the required size, printing requires a number of make ready runs and selling up after printing the printed material is shifted to the Binding Department for binding. Depending on the job this goes through a number of process like collating pinning, punching, foldup, die cutting machine, lamination, etc., finally after finishing cut the material goes to Packing and Forwarding Department for delivery.

The time it takes to finish a job depends on the order. It can take from 1 day to a few weeks for some custom orders.

There is no minimum & maximum numbers. Depending on the job the printer will be taking 100 - 500 prints run to get the correct output, meaning, to print 1 copy or 1,00,000 copies takes the same make ready effort, for the reason, printing less than 500 copies in offset will not be economical. Larger the quantity lower the unit cost.

1) Images from websites are low resolution and will not print clearly. 2) Copyright laws protect most internet images therefore unauthorized use may lead to legal procedures.

Scanning images from printed material like magazines has a very special problem (copyrights, which is a serious consideration too). dotted pattern in your scanned images from printed material, one example is shown below.

JPEG (Joint Photographers Experts Group) is a file compression algorithm used for image compression. JPEG is so popularly know and used because its widely supported and uses the best compression algorithm for images transferred through internet. JPEG is the best way. But if image is copied to a CD or Zip and then transferred, its better to keep the original format (TIFF, EPS, PSD, etc). Since JPEG compression is a loosy compression (means some data will be disordered while compression). PDF (Portable Document Format) is a file format by Adobe. This file format helps to view, partially edit files originally made in almost any designing/word processing software. A PDF file can be viewed using Acrobat Reader.

Because we will print any custom size you desire, we don't have a compiled list of prices. However all of our products online give you instant price quotes.

Yes, our online pricing will automatically calculate a discount based on volume printing.

We print using CMYK, Full Color Offset Printing

Your image can still be printed at less than 300dpi, however the print quality will be sacrificed significantly. We print all jobs using 200Line Screen, which means you can utilize up to 400dpi for any print job. We recommend at least 300dpi to obtain the best print quality.

CMYK are the four colors that make up all other colors in the world. They are short for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black

Print-ready files are accepted in the following formats: File Extensions Description/Program Used .ai, Adobe Illustrator drawing or vector graphics file .eps Encapsulated postscript image file created using Adobe Illustrator; designed for high resolution printing of illustrations; standard file format for importing and exporting PostScript files .cdr Corel Draw Vector drawing file .tiff Tag Image File Format; preferred bitmap graphics format for high-resolution postscript printing .jpg or .jpeg standard format for photographic image compression developed by the Joint Photographic Experts Group .psd Bitmap file created using Adobe Photoshop .indd InDesign Document from Adobe Systems .pdf Portable Document File from Adobe Acrobat .pub Document file associated with Microsoft Publisher Quick Facts about Bitmap Images Bitmap images are made up of colored dots (pixels) in a grid Also known as raster images Resolution dependent – resizing affects image quality Scanned images and digital photos are bitmaps Quick Facts about Vector Images Vector Images are made up of individual objects composed of lines and shapes with different attributes such as color. Resolution Independent – scaling images does not affect quality Smaller file size Not suitable for photo-realistic reproduction Fonts are vector objects
